Ghajnsielem extended their good moment of form and registered another win with a large score form their match against bottom placed Xaghra United.  Ghajnsielem as expected dominated over their opponents and opened a three-goal lead within the opening fifteen minutes of play.  The Blacks continued to dictate matters for the rest of the encounter and scored two more goals after the break.  For this match they had Emiliano Lattes missing due to a suspension, while Renan Telles was not included in the starting lineup as a precaution due to an injury.  Xaghra, who had Antonio Laskov missing due to a suspension, tried hard to resist to their more quoted opponents, but compromised the result during the early stages so that it became very difficult to avoid the heavy defeat.

The Blacks had an excellent start and opened the score in the second minute of play through John Camilleri who concluded in goal with a low shot following a through pass by Damon Hili.  Three minutes later a cross shot by Alex Tramboo passed Xaghra’s keeper but the ball was stopped by crossbar.  Ghajnsielem doubled the score on 10 minutes when Jhon Jairo Sandoval Guarin fired in goal following a cross by John Camilleri.  One minute later Xaghra’s Nikola Vitorovic produced a personal action inside Ghajnsielem’s his shot ended wide.  On 14 minutes Ghajnsielem increased their lead through a tap-in by John Camilleri following a low pass by Stefan Cassar.  On 23 minutes the same Cassar produced another inviting cross towards John Camilleri but the latter concluded wide form close distance.  One minute later Xaghra’s Nikola Vitorovic could have reduced the score but his attempt following a personal action was blocked to a corner by goalie Luke Buttigieg.  On 25 minutes Xaghra’s goalie Daniel Galea made a good save to turn to a corner a strike by Kenny Hili and three minutes later the same goalkeeper once again saved to another corner a first time Chris Camilleri following a cross by John Camilleri.  Ghajnsielem’s Chris Camilelri went again close to score another goal on 41 minutes but his shot on the run ended just over Xaghra’s goal.

Ghajnsielem continued to dictate matter from the early stages of the second period and on 52 minutes they were dangerous through a low shot by Chris Camilleri ended just wide.  On 55 minutes Ghajnsielem added another goal when John Camilleri entered Xaghra’s territory after receiving from Damon Hili, turned around the goalkeeper at the edge of the area and concluded easily into an open goal.  Two minutes later the same John Camilleri had an attempt that was saved to a corner by goalie Daniel Galea and on 59 minutes a low shot by Damon Hili ended just wide.  As time passed by Ghajnsielem reduced their pressure over their opponents and Xaghra managed to operate more play within Ghajnsielem’s territory.  However, Xaghra’s best opportunity to score a consolation goal arrived on 82 minutes through a curling shot by Michael Bezzina that was neutralized by goalie Luke Buttigieg. The Blacks could have added another goal on 85 minutes but an attempt form close distance by substitute Daniel Atzori ended just high.  Ghajnsielem however sealed the victory with the fifth goal that arrived in the second minute of stoppage time through a header by Ferdinando Apap following a corner kick by Damon Hili.
