Nadur Youngsters took revenge for the defeat conceded against Oratory Youths in the match between the two sides of the second round with a 5-1 win in this match from the third and final round of the championship.  With this victory Nadur obtained the points they needed to remain serious contenders for the title before their direct clash for the title with Xewkija Tigers, which will also be the last match of the championship.  With this result the champions of last season Ghajnsielem were mathematically eliminate from the race for the title.

In this match Nadur dominated for long stretches and paved the way to the large win with three goals scored during the first quarter of the encounter.  Oratory had a reaction during the first part of the second period but were demoralised as they suffered the fifth goal on the hour mark.  Nadur’s striker Brandon Said was the main protagonist of the encounter by scoring a personal hat-trick.

Nadur opened the score in the sixth minute of play through a shot by Brandon Said following a cross form the right flank that was not cleared by the defence.  Nadur kept insisting and on 15 minutes a header by Darko Stojanovic following a corner kick by Dewide Dos Santos was saved with difficult by goalie Leonard Camilleri and the defence cleared the danger from the area with some difficulty.  Nadur doubled the score three minutes later when Milos Stojanovic passed inside the area to Brandon Said who netted with a curling shot that was out of the reach of the goalkeeper.  Oratory continued to suffer Nadur’s offensive play and on 22 minutes the Youngsters increased their lead through a shot by Claudio Antunes following a prolonged area inside the area.  On 27 minutes Nadur’s Charles Hili had an attempt form close distance that was blocked to a corner by goalie Leonard Camilleri and on 40 minutes Dewide Dos Santos had an attempt from outside Oratory’s area that ended just wide.  Two minutes later Nadur’s Shaun Attard had a header following a free kick by Dewide Dos Santos that also ended away from Oratory’s goal and in the first minute of stoppage time before half time a direct free kick by Milos Stojanovic which ended just over the crossbar.

In the second minute of play of the second period Nadur increased their lead through Brandon Said who entered Oratory’s territory with a personal action and fired in goal as soon as he entered the area.  Three minutes later Oratory’s keeper Leonard Camilleri was called to make a difficult save to turn to corner a shot from close distance by Dewide Dos Santos.  On 53 minutes Oratory reduced the score when Nadur’s keeper Mark Grima, who was on the field of play to replace Matthew Muscat for less than one minute, saved but did not hold a shot from outside the area by Andrea Debrincat and from the rebound Bartomeu Perello Palou placed into an open goal.  Oratory gained some confidence and in the following minutes they increased their efforts in an attempt to recover the deficit.  However, Nadur regained composure and on 60 minutes they scored the fifth goal through a low shot by Saviour Attard that ended in goal despite the attempt of goalie Leonard Camilleri to save the danger.  Nadur continued to ad minster their comfortable lead with authority and Oratory’s best opportunity to score a second goal arrived on 78 minutes through a shot from an angled position by Bartomeu Perello Palou, but goalie Mark Grima turned to a corner.  From the resultant corner action Nadur’s rear guard failed to clear the ball from the area but Inigo Dolara concluded high from a good position.
