Chris Camilleri (Għajnsielem) wins February award
Għajnsielem FC midfielder Chris Camilleri is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for February 2017.
Għajnsielem’s efforts to retain the BOV GFA League title won last year got a major boost during February with two big wins over Victoria Hotspurs and Xagħra United. Camilleri scored twice in their 4-0 win over the Hotspurs and again twice in the 5-0 routing of Xagħra United.
37 year old Chris Camilleri has won 8 GFA leagues during his career, 4 championships with Xewkija Tigers, 2 with Nadur Youngsters and one each with Xagħra United and Sannat Lions. He also formed part of the Gozo FC team that obtained the historic promotion to the MFA Premier League in the year 2000 as well as formed part of the U17 national team.
Horace Laudi, Regional Manager for Gozo at Bank of Valletta presented the BOV GFA Player of the Month for February 2017 to Camilleri who chose Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
