Xewkija Tigers Captain Joseph Cefai is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for November 2018.

33-year-old Cefai is a product of the Tigers’ nursery and debuted with the seniors’ team in the 2001/2002 season, and has won all honours in Gozitan Football including 4 leagues, 6 GFA Cups, 5 Super Cups among others.

Following a disappointing start to the season, losing out in the Super Cup final and some inconsistent matches, Xewkija regrouped and are currently second on the BOV GFA League, in the semi-final of the BOV GFA Cup and also in the quarterfinals of the FA Trophy.
