In the tenth minute of play Zebbug’s goalie Baskal Saliba was called to make two consecutive saves to block close ranged attempts by Mohammed Senussi Telessi and Oliver Farrugia following a cross by Antoine Camilleri.  On 15 minutes Sannat’s Mohammed Senussi Telessi had an effort that was blocked to a corner by Zebbug’s defence and two minutes later Sannat opened the score when an attempt by Fabian Xuereb was stopped by the post and form the rebound Mohammed Senussi Telessi concluded into an open goal form close distance.  On 19 minutes Sannat doubled the score when Mohammed Senussi Telessi headed inside the area following a cross from the left flank and Matthew Portelli concluded in goal from close distance.  Zebbug continued to suffer Sannat’s play and on 26 minutes they could have added another goal but a lob by Antoine Camilleri following a personal action was stopped by the woodwork.  On 39 minutes Zebbug’s goalie Baskal Saliba saved with the aid of the post a free kick by Mohammed Senussi Telessi.  Zebbug’s best scoring opportunity of the first half arrived on 41 minutes through a free kick from long distance by Bartomeu Perello Palou that ended away from goal.

After the break Sannat continued to dictate matters and on 51 minutes a goal by Mohammed Senuss Telessi was disallowed for an offside.  On 64 minutes a shot by Sannat’s Antoine Camilleri following a personal action ended wide and on 70 minutes Sannat were also unlucky when a strike by Oliver Farrugia was stopped by the crossbar. On 77 minutes Sannat scored their third goal when Mohammed Senussi Telessi unmarked Antoine Camilleri within Zebbug’s area and the latter placed in goal with a low drive.  Four minutes later Sannat could have added another goal but a header by Mohammed Senussi Telessi following an inviting cross by Antoine Camilleri ended just over the crossbar.
