Nadur earn a deserved win and remain sole leaders with a five-point lead

Nadur Youngsters registered a 2-0 win over Kercem Ajax and with the points obtained they retained their comfortable lead at the top of the table. In this match Nadur held territorial supremacy but they found it more difficult than expected to convert their superiority in goals. Nadur struggled to open the score and continued to find it difficult to increase their lead so that they had to wait until stoppage time to seal the win with the second goal.

Timeline:
Nadur tried to take command of play from their first minutes in an attempt to score an early goal but Kercem were well organised at their defence and they managed to keep their area clear from danger from most of the time.
8’ Nadur created the first scoring opportunity of the encounter through a shot by Stefan Cassar following a short clearance by the defence but the ball ended away from goal.
12’ Kercem replied through a free kick by Jean Paul Mizzi that was well saved by Nadur’s keeper Steve Sultana.

For the second period Nadur continued to find it very difficult to conclude their offensive play towards Kercem’s goal.
16’ Kercem had an opportunity from a free kick by Borja Polo Longarela but the ball ended away from Nadur’s goal.
