Sannat Lions obtained a 4-0 win over Munxar Falcons in the last match from Match-Day 13 of the campaign and thus ended the Match-Day at the top of the table with a two-point lead over Oratory Youths who are their main challengers for promotion. Sannat struggled to impose their superiority over Munxar during the first period but they managed to increase their efforts after the break and put their minds at rest form the three points with goals scored during the first part of the second period. This was Sannat’s third win with a large score over Munxar in the campaign as they already registered 4-1 and 5-2 wins in the matches of the first and second round between these two teams.

Timeline:
Sannat were very aggressive during the opening stages and created some chances where they could have scored an early goal.
10’ Sannat could have opened the score when Ebube Ralph Okpokwu exchanged the ball at the edge of Munxar’s area with Joseph Zammit but the former saw his attempt that was stopped by the post.
18’ Sannat kept insisting and were again dangerous through a shot by Ebube Ralph Okpokwu that was well saved by goalie Frankie Azzopardi.
32’ (1-0) Sannat opened the score through a strike form outside the area by Damon Hili that surprised Munxar’s keeper.
45’ Munxar’s goalie Frankie Azzopardi was well placed and managed to block a free kick by Sannat’s Joseph Zammit.
HT (1-0)

Munxar’s reaction was sterile and after the break Sannat continued to hold control of play.
9’ (2-0) Sannat doubled the score through a lob by Eube Ralph Okpokwu following a personal action.
12’ Munxar could have capitalised better when Derek Paul Borg prolonged inside Sannat’s area following a clearance by the goalkeeper from a free by Joseph Azzopardi but a header from a good position by Andrew Borg ended over the crossbar.
15’ Sannat once again threatened Munxar’s rear guard form a free kick by Joseph Zammit but the ball ended high.
20’ (3-0) Sannat added another goal with a shot from outside the area by Mario Mifsud that surprised Munxar’s keeper.
34’ Sannat went again close to scoring through a low shot by Ebube Ralph Okpokwu that ended wide.
36’ (4-0) Sannat’s fourth goal arrived through an own goal by Munxar’s defender Nevile Haber who hit badly in an attempt to clear the ball from the goalmouth following a low cross by Sannat’s substitute Nicholas Grima, and the ball ended in his own goal.
42’ Munxar went close to score a consolation goal but an attempt directly from a free kick by Cleiton Jose Hinrichs was well saved by Sannat’s keeper Matthew Muscat.
45’ Munxar had their last opportunity to score a goal in this match but a header from a good position by Cleiton Jose Hinrichs following a free kick by Luke Attard ended high.
