Nadur Youngsters started their commitments in the third and final round of the BOV Gozo Football League of the first division with a 3-0 win over relegation strugglers SK Victoria Wanderers. Nadur, therefore, defended their eight-point lead over their closest rivals for the title and moved closer to become mathematically champions this season. Nadur expressed their superiority over their opponents throughout the encounter and the win could have been with a larger margin. For this match, Nadur had some of their regular players missing due to suspensions and injuries but they still managed to express their good moment of form and paved the way to the win by scoring two goals during the opening half-hour of the match.

Nadur took command of play from the first minutes of play and held pressure on Victoria’s defence.
4’ Nadur could have opened the score but a shot by Shaun Attard, following a personal action by Marcelo Barbosa, was weak and Victoria’s keeper saved without difficulty.
8’ Victoria’s keeper Giacomo Ratto was called to make an effective intervention to hold a cross-shot from long distance by Nadur’s Daniel Farrugia.
9’ In another good move by Nadur’s strikers a shot by Shaun Attard was neutralised by Victoria’s goalie.
10’ (0-1) Nadur opened the score when Michael Paul Camilleri delivered the ball inside Victoria’s area after receiving form Chris Camilleri, Shaun Attard headed the ball that arrived to an unmarked Marcelo Barbosa who passed around his direct opponent and placed in goal with a low shot.
12’ Victoria’s keeper was again called to save his goal with a good intervention following a shot by Michael Paul Camilleri after receiving from Marcelo Barbosa.
16’ Nadur’s Daniel Farrugia had a shot from long distance that ended just over the crossbar.
22’ In another offensive action by Nadur, Chris Camilleri delivered a cross from the flank but Johan Alberto Castano’s attempt ended wide.
30’ (0-2) Nadur doubled the score through Marcelo Barbosa who produced a personal action from the left flank, exchanged the ball with Shaun Attard inside Victoria’s area and placed in goal with a low shot towards the corner.
38’ Victoria’s keeper Giacomo Ratto was again in action to save in two attempts strike from outside the area by Shaun Attard
39’ Victoria’s central defender Moussa Bamba denied Nadur from scoring another goal when he headed away from the goalmouth a header by Emerson Marcelina when goalie Giacomo Ratto was out of his position.
41’ Nadur went again very close to score another goal but a free kick by Shaun Attard was saved to another corner by Victoria’s keeper.

9’ Nadur produced another dangerous action within Victoria’s area when Shaun Attard moved towards Victoria’s goal but had his close-ranged shot that was partially saved by goalie Giacomo Ratto and from the rebound Marcelo Barbosa placed easily in the net but the goal was disallowed for an offside infringement.
11’ A shot by Nadur’s Michael Paul Camilleri had a shot that was saved in two attempts by Victoria’s keeper.
15’ (0-3) Nadur scored their third goal when Nadur produced a prolonged action inside Victoria’s area and at the end, Marcelo Barbosa passed to Daniel Farrugia who surprised Victoria’s goalkeeper with a curling shot form the edge of the area.
18’ In another action by Nadur a free kick by Johan Alberto Castano was neutralised by Victoria’s goalkeeper.
25’ Nadur lost another good scoring opportunity when substitute Hugo Santa Rosa Cruz passed to Michael Paul Camilleri but the latter had his attempt from an ideal position that hit the side of the net.
35’ Victoria’s goalie Giacomo Ratto made the best save of the afternoon when he managed to save to a corner a close-ranged shot by Johan Alberto Castano.
45’ Nadur’s Hugo Santa Rosa Cruz could have sealed the win for his side but his shot from an ideal position missed the target.
