Nadur Youngsters registered an impressive 5-0 win over Xewkija Tigers in the top-of-the-table clash which was also the last match of the second round of the championship. With this win, Nadur extended their lead over the same Xewkija to eight points and they are therefore hot favourites to be crowned champions of Gozitan football after an absence of six seasons. In this match, Xewkija needed a win to reduce their gap from Nadur to just two points before the beginning of the third and final round of the championship. However, Nadur dominated the first half and scored the five goals of the match. Xewkija became demoralised at an early stage of the encounter and continued to struggle even during the second period as Nadur were in control of the match.

In this match, Nadur capitalised with offensive actions on their left flank and practically scored four goals from identical situations. On the other hand, Xewkija failed to created danger to Nadur’s defence as the strikers were very often erratic in their finishing.
