by | Aug 27, 2021 | 21/22, News

The Gozo Football Association happily informs that Season 2021/22 will see the partial return of spectators to local football stadia after the successful implementation of the return-of-supporters protocol for the domestic competitions. The GFA will follow the directives issued by the Health Authorities stated in the Standards for safer organised controlled events taking place in an enclosed area Effective as from the 16th August 2021.

With regards to the health and safety of players and officials, the Gozo Football Association will adhere to the Return-To-Play medical protocol which will be updated according to any new or revised COVID-19 measures that may be introduced during the course of the season.

In view of the revised guidelines announced recently by the Public Health Authorities, the stadium capacity will be in accordance with the Legal Notice which will come into effect on Monday, August 30, 2021. Matchday 1 of the BOV GFL 1st Division, kicking off on Friday 3rd September, will be according to the forthcoming regulations.

Online Tickets

Match tickets can only be purchased online at https://gozofa.com/tickets – there will be no sale of tickets from stadium booths or outlets on matchday – while ticket holders buying their tickets online, will be asked to register and upload their vaccination certificate before printing the ticket. Further information can be seen from the support page at https://gozofa.com/tickets/support

The tickets will be valid for the indicated fixture (one match only) with the stadium gates opening 90 or 60 minutes before kick-off giving ample time for the necessary checks according to bookings. All entrants must present their respective ID Cards upon entry.

The Clubs have also been given the option to sell tickets pre-match to their loyal members’ base, however, this option will only be available for particular matches upon request by the Clubs through their website. The Club will be given a date range for the sale from its website and afterwards, if tickets are still available they will be purchased from https://gozofa.com/tickets.

Tickets will be only for single match use and the price will be €5 for every entrant.

Streamed Matches

As of this season, the GFA has commissioned AMA Livestream to produce the live feed for the live audio-visual coverage of all GFA matches which will be streamed live on a pay per view platform. More details will be made available in the coming days.
