Sannat Lions registered a 5-2 win over Zebbug Rovers in the last match from Match-Day 2 of the BOV Gozo Football League of the second division so they earned the first points and moved away from the bottom place on the table.
This match was a clash between two sides who conceded a defeat in their respective opening match of the league and therefore they were both aiming to obtain the first positive result. Sannat paved the way to the handsome win by scoring two goals within the opening three minutes of the encounter so that they gained confidence for the rest of the match where they resisted Zebbug’s reaction and also scored on other three occasions. The Rovers tried hard to make up for the difficult start, particularly during the first period but they were often erratic in their finishing so they failed to capitalise on their best chances to re-open the issue.

1’ (1-0) Sannat took the lead in their first offensive action of the encounter when Aud-Gustine James Obaje headed towards the goalmouth from a corner action and Dylan Bellotti fired in the net close distance.
