In the first match from Match Day 3 of the BOV Gozo Football League of the second division, Kercem Ajax registered a 5-0 win over St Lawrence Spurs to remain the only side with maximum points in the category.
This encounter was a top-of-the-table clash between the two teams that had obtained two wins from their respective first two matches of the campaign. Kercem, which had some regular players missing due to injuries, dominated the match against St Lawrence and practically made sure of the three points by scoring four of the five goals before the end of the first half.
With this result, Ajax remains the only side in Gozitan football who are unbeaten since the beginning of the season and more than that they not only won the first honour for the category of the season but also achieved the semi-final stage of the BOV GFA and also qualified for the Quarterfinals of the National Amateur Cup of the MFA with a possibility to be eligible for the first round of the FA Trophy of the MFA.
