Joseph Zammit: Nadur Youngsters FC
Nadur Youngsters striker Joseph Zammit won the honour of BOV Gozitan football player of the month for November. Zammit received the trophy of this honour from the Manager of the Bank of Valletta responsible for the Gozo Region, Ms. Charmaine Borg at the Bank’s office in Victoria Gozo.
Joseph Zammit, who is twenty-three years old, started his career with Sannat Lions and has been with Nadur Youngsters for the last four seasons where he won the honours of Gozo football. Zammit established a role as one of the main attackers in the Gozo competitions and for some time he was part of the National team under twenty-one years of age.
During this season Joseph Zammit is making good use of the experience to help the team find form after a difficult start, and thus Nadur will be in a position to try to defend the title of champions they won in the end years.
During November Nadur were engaged in games from the BOV GFA Cup and Knock Out competitions of the first division. In the game from the quarter-finals of the BOV GFA Cup competition, Nadur achieved a 9-1 victory against Oratory Youths where Zammit played a part in some goals and also scored the third goal which practically closed the match, while he was among the protagonists in the game from the quarter-finals of the Knock Out competition of the first division, where Nadur beat Għajnsielem with a score of 2-0. Joseph Zammit continued to be in good form in the semi-final of the Knock Out competition of the first division.
