Kercem Ajax scored three goals in each half in their match from Match-Day 7 of the GFA BOV Gozo Football League of the second division against Munxar Falcons to remain at the top of the table with maximum points. This result was identical to the outcome of Kercem’s win over the same Munxar in the match between the two sides of the first round of the campaign.
Kercem dominated their opponents throughout the encounter. They paved the way to the large win with an early goal and practically they put their minds at rest from the three points by scoring two more goals before the break. Munxar were demoralised from the early stages of the second period so Kercem continued to enjoy territorial supremacy and increased the score by scoring on three other occasions.

First Half:
Kercem took the initiative of play from the early stages and managed to open the score after a few minutes of the first half so that they took the driving seat, denied their opponents from producing a reaction and opened a comfortable cushion before the break by scoring two more goals.
14’ (0-1) Kercem opened the score in their first serious attempt towards Munxar’s goal when Cesar Velez Da Silva entered the area with personal action and netted with a low shot that ended out of the reach of the goalkeeper.
29’ Kercem could have created more danger when Antonio Xuereb delivered the ball at the edge of Munxar’s area from a free kick but the header by Andrea Debrincat ended wide.
34’ Munxar’s goalie Joel Micallef was called to make a difficult save to block an attempt directly from a free kick by Andre Azzopardi.
37’ (0-2) Kercem doubled the score through a fine curling shot from an angled position by skipper Andrew Mizzi that ended in the far upper corner of the net.
44’ (0-3) The Ajax added another goal when a header by Andrea Debrincat was partially saved by Munxar’s goalie Joel Micallef and from the rebound Andrew Mizzi pushed the ball in the net.

Second Half
The Ajax continued to dominate play from the first minutes of play of the second period as Munxar seemed demoralised and practically threw the towel after conceding the fourth goal.
5’ (0-4) Kercem increased their lead when Munxar’s defence failed to clear the ball from the goal mouth and Antonio Xuereb addressed towards the goal and the ball was judged to it crossed the fatal line before defender Daniel Azzopardi cleared away.
13’ (0-5) The fifth goal by Kercem arrived when substitute Carlos Cutajar delivered a low cross from the right flank and Andrea Debrincat arrived on the ball and netted with a low drive.
18’ Kercem missed an open scoring opportunity when Carlos Cutajar released Andrea Debrincat in front of Munxar’s goal but the striker incredibly lifted over the crossbar.
19’ (0-6) The same Andrea Debrincat made up for his previous mistake and scored the sixth goal when he took a short clearance by Munxar’s defence and concluded easily in goal from close distance.
24’ Munxar’s goalie Joel Micallef made another difficult intervention to save an effort from a good position by Andre Azzopardi.
