In the first match of the 14th round of the Second Division League, Sannat Lions
clinched a dramatic 4-3 victory over St Lawrence Spurs, securing their place in second
position. With this win, Sannat have confirmed their spot in the promotion play-off,
where they will face the second-bottom team from the First Division for a chance to
move up.
This was the season’s penultimate match for both teams, and both were eager for
a win. Sannat needed the points to guarantee second place, while St Lawrence aimed
to improve their position in the standings. The match was a fierce contest,
with the final result remaining uncertain until the very end. Sannat looked on course for
an easy victory after scoring two early goals, but St. Lawrence mounted a comeback
and erased the deficit. Despite St. Lawrence being more offensive for long periods,
Sannat regained the lead, only for S.t. Lawrence to equalize again. However, a late
decisive goal sealed the three points for Sannat just minutes before the final whistle.
