SK Victoria Wanderers registered their second consecutive win in the campaign and earned three precious points by defeating Oratory Youths with a 3-1 score. With this result, the Wanderers moved away from the second place from the bottom and left their opponents in the last place and without a point from ten matches.
In this match, the SK Victoria Wanderers were the better side and produced more offensive play. The Wanderers administered their lead and made sure of the win by scoring late goals. Victoria’s win practically matured with the goals scored just before the break and just after the resumption by capitalising from defensive mishaps by Oratory’s rearguard. Oratory remained in contention as they kept believing that they may recover the deficit for more than an hour of the match but threw the towel after conceding the fourth goal, although they made the score more respectable with a second goal scored seconds before the end of the encounter.
Timeline:
SK Victoria Wanderers tried to take command of play from the early stages but during the first half hour of play, Oratory seemed motivated and made it difficult for the Wanderers to create danger. Oratory had a good reaction after conceding Victoria’s opening goal but compromised their chance to take the break on a draw by conceding the second goal.
8’ Victoria could have scored an early goal when David Garba entered the Oratory’s area but his shot was well saved by goalie Angelo Brignoli.
14’ The same goalkeeper was at the right place to neutralise a header by Da Silva Costa following a throw-in by David Garba.
18’ m(protests for penalty) Oratory protested for a penalty alleging handling by Caique Souza Da Silva who cleared the ball from his area.

30’ (protests for penalty) Oratory once again protested for a penalty alleging handling when Victoria’s defence tried to clear the ball from their area.
32’ The Youths produced a dangerous action through an initiative by Nicolas Matias Venegas Miranda who passed through Victoria’s defence but had his shot that was saved to a corner with difficulty by goalie Samuel Camilleri.
33’ (1-1) Oratory levelled the score from the resultant corner action as Victoria’s defence cleared the ball badly from their area and Rian Almeida Lopes took possession from an angled position and concluded in goal with a curling lob that ended out of the reach of the goalkeeper.
42’ (2-1) The Wanderers managed to regain the lead when Oratory’s goalie failed to hold a cross from long distance by Matthias Cordina and David Garba Emmanuel won the possession and placed easily into an open goal.
