In the last match from Match-Day 11 of the BOV Gozo Football League of the second
division, Kercem Ajax lived up to the expectations and registered their eleventh
consecutive win and with the points obtained they became mathematically champions
with four more matches before the end of the campaign.

The Ajax came out for this match determined to achieve their objective of securing the
title and promotion. They held command of play from the early stages and ended the
first half with a deserved one-goal lead. Sannat struggled to remain in contention but
they only managed to produce a solid defensive deployment as their offensive play was

weak and Kercem’s goalie was not called to make difficult interventions. Kercem made
sure of the 5-0 win by scoring more goals after the break when Sannat were also
reduced to ten players so that their celebrations at the end of the encounter were
justified. Kercem still have other ambitions until the end of the season as they are
favourites to win the Knock Out competitions for the second division to win all the
competitions of the category, they are on track to mark their successful season by
ending the second division league on maximum points, and they are also semi-finalists
in the BOV GFA Cup.
