 The opening game of Match-Day ten in the Second Division saw Zebbug Rovers record a convincing 4–0 victory over Munxar Falcons. With the three points, Zebbug move level with the teams at the top of the table and remain in contention for promotion in the final round of the campaign.

Zebbug’s win was secured early: they scored three goals in the first half and, after the break, eased pressure on their defence while comfortably nullifying Munxar’s weak attempts at a fightback.

Timeline
First Half:

Zebbug started aggressively and quickly established a two-goal lead, leaving Munxar demoralised and unable to respond.

4’ (0–1) Zebbug took the lead when Bernard Camilleri found Markus Vella, who beat the goalkeeper with a shot from an ideal position.

10’ (0–2) Zebbug doubled their advantage with a goal from Bernard Camilleri, set up by Haraan Goncalves Barbosa.

27’ Munxar went close with a shot from Ayesller Carvalho, but the ball went wide. Over time Munxar started to push forward more, but separate efforts — two shots by Luke Meilak and two attempts by Ayesller Carvalho — missed the target.

43’ (0–3) Zebbug regained control before halftime and increased their lead when Haraan Goncalves Barbosa found himself alone in the box, rounded the goalkeeper and scored into an empty net.

Second Half:

The second half lost some of its intensity as Munxar continued to struggle to mount a comeback, while Zebbug controlled the match without putting heavy pressure on the opposition defence.

10’ (0–4) — Zebbug effectively sealed the win with a fourth goal: Jake Sacco fed Haraan Goncalves Barbosa, who held off defenders and finished low into the net.
