Kercem Ajax’ Felipe Augusto de Oliveira is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for January 2019.

The Brazilian forward joined Kercem at the beginning of the season and besides scoring in 7 games from 11, he helps boost his team’s defence and is one of the hardest workers in midfield in the BOV Gozo League.

Kercem’s bid to avoid relegation received a welcome 3 points through their 3-1 win over SK Victoria Wanderers where Felipe scored 2 goals with one of the goals receiving Brazil TV stations support for nomination for the FIFA Puskas award. Spotting the opposing goalkeeper out of position, Felipe hit a lob from beyond the centre line sealing their first win of the season.

Felipe strongly believes that his team has the potential to avoid relegation this season and keep their position in Gozo’s top football division. Horace Laudi, Chief Officer Personal Banking at Bank of Valletta presented the player with the BOV GFA Player of the Month trophy for January 2019.

The player chose Fondazzjoni Arka to benefit from the donation associated with his award.
