Performance Trackers presented to Gozitan Clubs

by | Oct 24, 2019 | News

On the 30th of September 2019, Reġjun Għawdex presented local Gozitan football clubs with Performance Trackers.

The clubs within the Gozo FA were given several GPS trackers for use. These are state-of-the-art GPS trackers used by football giants such as Torino FC, A.C. Milan and Inter Milan. Each club was given a tracker to be used on the field, whether training or a playing a match. These modern and light trackers use advanced technology such as GPS, Gyroscope and a Heart Rate Receiver. After a session, the footballer’s data is uploaded to the cloud where it is processed and analysed by a computer system. The analysed data is presented in a statistical format so that technical staff can see the trends and improvements in the players’ performance. This information can be used to maximise the team’s performance, reduce the risk of injury and to manage recovery.

This new technology will hopefully continue to increase the level of Gozitan Football to that of one of the 21st century.
