Victoria Hotspurs, who were already mathematically champions of the BOV Gozo Football League Division I confirmed their excellent moment of form during the second half of the football season by winning the GFA KO completion for the first division.

Munxar Falcons Division II champions
The last match of the BOV Gozo Football League division II campaign for the 2017/2018 season, played at the Gozo Stadium, ended with a deserved 3-2 win for Munxar Falcons over their rivals, and contenders for the main honour, Sannat Lions. With this result, Munxar became champions of the category and won promotion to the top flight next season.

In this last match of the campaign for the two sides the final score did not have any impact on the final standings as Xaghra were already sure of the placing second place from the bottom. Xaghra dominated the final stages of the encounter so that they ended up obtaining a win with a large margin.
Munxar obtian win with second half goals
Munxar Falcons earned the three points they needed from their penultimate match of the campaign against St Lawrence Spurs so that they regained sole leadership and they need just one point form the last match of the league against contenders for the main honour and for promotion Sannat Lions.
Zebbug return to winning ways
Zebbug Rovers recovered from a long series of disappointing results and obtained three points from their match against bottom placed Qala Saints. Zebbug’s goal matured with the odd goal from three where the three goals were converted during the first half.
Sannat ease past Xaghra and retain hopes for promotion
Sannat Lions maintained their strong challenge for promotion with a convincing 5-1 win over Xaghra United. Despite the difficult conditions, Sannat dominated over their opponents where their strikers Antoine Camilleri and Oliver Farrugia distinguished themselves by scoring the five goals of their side between them.

Munxar Falcons obtained three easy points from a large win over Zebbug Rovers so that they retained their one-point lead over their contenders for promotion Sannat Lions. St Lawrence extend positive run
St Lawrence scored two goals during the first half and earned the full points at stake from their match against Xaghra. With the points obtained the Spurs consolidated their third spot on the table. The Spurs deserved the win as they produced the better play and managed to resist to Xaghra’s reaction.
