Munxar Falcons confirmed their good moment of form with a 4-2 win over St Lawrence spurs. With the points obtained Munxar moved away from the bottom of the table for the first time in the campaign and re-opened their chances to end the season at a respectable place on the final standings. Munxar were the better side and were also in command throughout the encounter. With this result, the Spurs suffered a setback in their attempt to move closer to the top position, although they have a comfortable lead over the three teams occupying the last three places on the table.

Timeline:
St Lawrence came out as favourites to win this encounter and to repeat their performances in the matches against Munxar of the first two rounds of the campaign. However, Munxar were more adventurous and took the driving seat as they took the lead at an early stage of the encounter.
9’ Munxar created their first scoring opportunity through a shot by Luke Attardthat ended just wide.
10’ Munxar were unlucky when a header Ayesller Carvalho following a cross by Luke Meilaq was stopped by the post.
16’ (0-1) Munxar opened the score when Luke Meilaq delivered a cross inside St Lawrence’s area and Ayesller Carvalho placed in goal from close distance.
18’ Munxar were again dangerous but a header by Neville Haber following a corner kick by Luke Meilaq ended high.
21’ St Lawrence operated a good move that was concluded in the net by Matthias Michael Uzor, but the goal was disallowed for handling by the same striker.

26’ Munxar had another opportunity to score but St Lawrence’s keeper blocked with difficulty a close ranged attempt by Ayesller Carvalho following a corner kick by Nicholas Attard.
27’ (1-3) Munxar regained a two-goal lead through a lob by Derek Paul Borg that ended into an empty goal as the goalkeeper left his position in an attempt to block the danger.
30’ (1-4) Munxar added another goal when St Lawrence’s goalie Justin Grima saved partially a strike by Luke Attard and form the rebound the ball arrived to an unmarked Ayesller Carvalho who turned around the defence and netted with a low shot towards the far post.
35’ (2-4) St Lawrence scored their second goal when Matthias Michael Uzor left the ball arrive to an unmarked Karl Formosa following a cross form the right flank and the latter fired in goal from the edge of the area.
40’ Munxar went again close to scoring but a shot by Ayesller Carvalho was well saved by St Lawrence’s keeper Justin Grima.
41’ St Lawrence could have scored another goal but a strike by Karl Formosa ended high.
45+1’ St Lawrence had another scoring opportunity but an attempt by Karl Formosa hit the crossbar and the ball bounced on the line before the defence recovered and cleared the danger from the goalmouth.
