Xaghra United earned the full points at stake from their direct clash against relegation with SK Victoria Wanderers wit a 2-0 win. With this result Xaghra are now joining the same Wanderers on equal points at the second place form the bottom and consolidated their ambitions to move away from the relegation zone before the last matches of the championship. This was also Xaghra’s second win over Victoria in the championship as they also win the match between the two sides of the first round with the odd goal from three. Xaghra’s win matured with a goal scored in each half although they conceded play for most of the time to Victoria but at the end Xaghra capitalised from their best chances and ended up obtaining a deserved win. In this match the Wanderers once again lost an opportunity to defend a safe position on the table as they were very erratic in their finishing and compromised the result with fatal mistakes at their defence.
