Nadur Youngsters’ Stefan Cassar is the BOV GFA Player of the Month for November 2021. Johnny Camilleri (Ghajnsielem FC) landed the award for December 2021 while Joseph Zammit (Nadur Youngsters) was the best performer during January 2022.
Nadur is contending for the three main honours in Gozitan Football. 24-year-old midfielder Stefan Cassar was instrumental in helping Nadur book their slot in the semi-finals of the BOV GFA KO competition and the BOV GFA Cup with wins of 3-0 over Oratory Youths and 3-1 against Victoria Hotspurs during the Month of November.
Johnny Camilleri was the protagonist in the top of the table clash between Ghajnsielem and Nadur Youngsters during December. Trailing 1-0, Camilleri scored the equaliser and continued to push Ghajnsielem forward even though they lost the game 2-1. Camilleri scored a brace in his team’s 4-0 win over SK Victoria Wanderers reaching a milestone of 150 goals in the BOV GFA League.
At 21 years of age, Joseph Zammit is hoping to win his first major awards this season. The young forward opened the score in Nadur’s 2-0 win over Sannat Lions and was a driving force in their 3-0 win over Sannat Lions to keep pushing for the title.
Charmaine Borg, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s branch in Victoria Gozo presented a commemorative plaque to each of the winners. Cassar chose id-Dar tal-Providenza to benefit from the donation associated with this award. Camilleri opted for Puttinu Cares while Zammit gave his donation to Fondazzjoni Arka.
