Ghajnsielem secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Nadur Youngsters in a thrilling encounter at the Gozo Stadium. With this result, Ghajnsielem registered their second consecutive win from as many matches, while Nadur suffered their first defeat of the campaign after earning a point from a draw in their opening fixture. Ghajnsielem are now the only team in the top flight to have collected maximum points from the opening two rounds of the championship.
The match proved to be highly competitive. Ghajnsielem made the brighter start and went ahead from the penalty spot in an incident that also left Nadur reduced to ten men. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Nadur produced a spirited reaction after the break and managed to level the score with a penalty of their own. However, in the closing stages, the Blacks stepped up their pressure and found the decisive winner, leaving Nadur with too little time to mount a second comeback.
