In the most anticipated match of the opening day of the second round of the Second Division championship, Zebbug Rovers and Sannat Lions shared the spoils in a goalless draw, a result which saw both teams drop two points behind leaders Gharb Rangers.
Both sides were aiming for victory in this encounter, with Sannat looking to bounce back from their defeat in their previous outing, while Zebbug were seeking a third consecutive win. The match proved to be a highly competitive affair and, over the ninety minutes, neither team managed to gain the upper hand. Clear-cut chances at both ends were few and far between as the two defences effectively neutralised the opposing attacks, resulting in a fair outcome with both teams settling for a point apiece.

First Half:
Both teams started aggressively in an effort to take the lead, but as the half progressed, the respective defences kept the attackers well in check. The goalkeepers were rarely teste,d and the first half ended goalless.
