Ghajnsielem recovered from the defeat suffered in their previous match and collected three important points with a 4–2 victory over Nadur Youngsters, climbing into second place in the standings, eight points behind the league leaders with four matches remaining. On the other hand, this defeat makes Nadur’s fight against relegation even more difficult, as they remain bottom of the table, six points behind the team above them.
This match was highly competitive during the first hour, with the result appearing as though it could swing either way. Ghajnsielem started strongly and took a two-goal lead within minutes, but Nadur gradually increased their efforts and grew into the match, managing to equalise shortly before half-time. This set up an intriguing second half. However, Ghajnsielem capitalised on a strong spell midway through the second half to restore their two-goal cushion, leaving Nadur demoralised and unable to recover despite the commitment shown by all their players.

Timeline
First Half:
Ghajnsielem were very aggressive in the opening minutes and stunned their opponents by scoring twice early on. However, they failed to maintain their superiority, allowing Nadur to grow into the match and eventually cancel out the deficit with two goals before the interval.
2’ (1–0) Ghajnsielem opened the scoring when Jhon Gonzalez played the ball inside the box to Ewertton Tom, who fired into the roof of the net.
4’ (2–0) Ghajnsielem doubled their lead when Jhon Gonzalez broke through with a personal move inside the area and squared the ball to Deison Cuero, who finished low into the net.
13’ Nadur replied through a shot by Murilo Scarpari, which was blocked by goalkeeper Gabriel Parnis before the defence cleared the danger.
31’ Nadur threatened again, but a shot by Luka Haber finished high.
34’ (crossbar) Ghajnsielem came close to extending their lead when a free-kick by Alberto Xuereb struck the upright.
41’ (2–1) – Nadur reduced the gap when a corner by Daniel Vella deflected off defender Daniel Murillo and finished in the net.
45’ (2–2) Nadur equalised just before half-time when David Oliveira controlled the ball inside the box, turned past the defender, and fired a half-high strike into the net.
HT (2–2)
Second Half:
The early stages of the second half were more balanced, with both sides attempting to take the lead. Ghajnsielem then regained control in the middle phase of the half, scoring twice to restore a two-goal advantage and neutralising Nadur’s reaction for the remainder of the match.
6’ Ghajnsielem goalkeeper Gabriel Parnis reacted well to block a good effort from David Oliveira.
12’ Ghajnsielem responded with a shot by Joshua Buttigieg, which was saved by goalkeeper Zak Vella.
17’ Nadur were dangerous once more, as David Oliveira met a left-wing cross with a header that went just wide.
20’ (3–2) Penalty Ghajnsielem regained the lead when they were awarded a penalty after Daniel Vella brought down Jhon Gonzalez. Ewertton Tom converted from the spot.
29’ (4–2) Ghajnsielem practically sealed the win when, after a prolonged action inside the box, Hayden Muscat sent in a cross, the defence failed to clear properly, and Deison Cuero finished first-time into the net.
36’ Nadur could have reduced the margin when Owen Peter Bugeja sent a shot toward the far post, but it missed the target.
39’ Ghajnsielem replied with an initiative by Jhon Gonzalez, who rounded the goalkeeper in the box but hit a weak effort that the defence cleared.
45’ Nadur went close again when Murilo Scarpari’s header from a good position finished wide.
