Nadur Youngsters secured a 3–1 victory over Qala Saints to register their second win of the league campaign and complete the double over the same opponents. The three points earned allow Nadur to keep their hopes alive of collecting more points in the remaining fixtures in order to avoid relegation.
In this match, Qala enjoyed greater territorial dominance and created more scoring opportunities, but their strikers lacked precision and failed to convert their offensive play into goals. As a result, Qala missed the chance to challenge for second place in the standings and remained in fourth position. Nadur, on the other hand, were more motivated, as this match represented virtually their final opportunity to stay close to the team immediately above them in the table. Consequently, Nadur were very disciplined defensively and, after taking the lead just before the end of the first half, produced a strong response in the final stages to earn a deserved victory.

Timeline
First Half:
The opening half was evenly balanced, with Qala appearing more direct towards goal, while Nadur continued to be well organised and eventually took the lead with a goal just before the break.
6’ Nadur goalkeeper Zak Vella was called into action to save a fine effort from Ibrahim Mohammed.
15’ In another Qala move, Jordi Parnis played Gabriel Cardona through on goal, but his attempt inside the box was blocked by the Nadur goalkeeper.
16’ (Penalty appeals) Qala appealed for a penalty following contact between the goalkeeper and Ibrahim Mohammed, but the referee waved play on.
24’ Nadur replied with a shot from Diego Rodriguez that went wide of the target.
38’ Qala threatened again when, from an Ibrahim Mohammed corner, Joseph Buttigieg made poor contact with a header and the ball went wide.
40’ (Post) Qala came very close to opening the scoring when Junior Sergipe delivered a cross from the left and Gabriel Cardona’s effort struck the post. From the rebound, the ball fell again to the same attacker but went wide.
43’ Nadur had another attempt through a long-range shot by Lucas Barreto, which missed the target.
45’ (1–0) Nadur opened the scoring when, from a free kick taken by Daniel Vella, Lucas Barreto headed the ball into the box where Murilo Scarpari finished from close range.

Second Half:
Qala took greater control of the match after the break, but continued to be erratic in front of goal. Nadur grew in confidence and, despite conceding an equaliser, managed to score twice in the final phase of the game.
12’ (Crossbar) Qala were unlucky when a cross-shot from the right by Gabriel Cardona hit the crossbar, and the rebound effort by substitute Wallisson Bahia went wide.
17’ Qala threatened again from a free kick by substitute Gilberto Carrara, but Nathan Njoku’s shot ended up hitting the side netting.
27’ Qala missed another clear chance when Wallisson Bahia’s shot was partially saved by Zak Vella, and Gabriel Cardona fired the rebound wide.
32’ (1–1) Qala equalised when the Nadur goalkeeper failed to hold a shot by Nathan Njoku, allowing Wallisson Bahia to score easily from the rebound.
37’ (2–1) Nadur regained the lead when a cross by Owen Peter Bugeja found the unmarked Diego Rodriguez, who finished from close range.
40’ Qala goalkeeper Owen Attard rushed off his line to block a close-range effort by Owen Peter Bugeja, with defender Nathan Njoku clearing the danger.
41’ (3–1) (Red card & penalty). From this incident, Qala were reduced to ten men after Nathan Njoku was shown a straight red card for striking a Nadur player. The referee also awarded a penalty, which Diego Rodriguez converted to beat the goalkeeper and seal the victory.
