Zebbug Rovers secured a dominant 5–0 victory over Oratory Youths, a result that lifts them into third place in the standings, one point ahead of Gharb — although Gharb have a game in hand.
Both teams were seeking valuable points in this encounter: Zebbug were aiming to finish the league in third place, while Oratory were fighting to avoid ending the season at the bottom of the table. The first half was fairly balanced, with Oratory reacting well after conceding an early goal. However, once Zebbug doubled their lead shortly before half-time, Oratory appeared demoralised, and the second half was dominated by Zebbug, who scored three more times. Oratory goalkeeper Zac Camilleri prevented an even heavier defeat with several important saves. Zebbug striker Haraan Gonçalves Barbosa was once again the standout performer, scoring four goals.

Timeline
First Half:
In the early stages, Oratory appeared more adventurous and initially unsettled their more highly-ranked opponents. Zebbug managed to open the scoring, but Oratory continued to push despite struggling to threaten the goal. Zebbug effectively secured the victory when they added a second goal late in the half.
6’ Oratory could have taken the lead when Aroldinho entered the box after a solo move, but the goalkeeper came out well to block the danger.
13’ (1–0) Zebbug opened the scoring when a header by Haraan Gonçalves Barbosa struck the post, rebounded off goalkeeper Zac Camilleri’s back, hit the post again, and finished in the net.
21’ Oratory responded through a promising effort by Aroldinho, but his shot from a good position went wide.
42’ (2–0) Zebbug doubled their lead through a low first-time shot by Haraan Gonçalves Barbosa after a well-placed low cross from Markus Vella.
HT (2–0)
Second Half:
In the second half, Oratory looked disorganised and Zebbug took full advantage, controlling the match and sealing the win with three additional goals.
9’ Zebbug threatened with a shot from Markus Vella, but it went wide.
17’ Oratory goalkeeper Zac Camilleri produced an important stop, blocking a close-range effort from Jake Sacco after a low cross from Markus Vella.
20’ (3–0) Zebbug extended their lead when Haraan Gonçalves Barbosa squared the ball to Ismael Belhadj, who broke through the defence and finished easily.
30’ (4–0) Zebbug capitalised on indecision in the Oratory defence as Haraan Gonçalves Barbosa won possession despite pressure from defenders and finished past the goalkeeper when through on goal.
41’ (5–0) Zebbug sealed the win with a fifth goal, once again through Haraan Gonçalves Barbosa, who turned past the defence and finished with a low strike.
